Our Favorite Maui Beaches

There are so many fantastic beaches on Maui, and here’s we’ll just give you a quick sampling of our favorites!

Tom’s Picks:

  • “I love Kamaole Beach Park 1 for paddle boarding. It’s so easy to enter the water , and it’s my favorite place to sit on a bench to meditate during a run” -Tom
  • “I really like Polenalena Beach in Makena, one of the secret beaches in south Maui. It’s a little hard to find and hardly ever anyone there”-Tom

Jordan’s Picks:

  • “Hamoa Beach in Hana has the best crystal-blue, swimmable water to jump in after the long drive out there! Check it out!”-Jordan
  • “Charley Young/Kamaole 1 Beach Park in Kihei -Great, long stretch of family-friendly beachfront and ample parking (which is important!)”-Jordan

Angela’s Picks:

  • “I love Kapalua (Merriman’s Beach). Great place to snorkel, water is tranquil, and you’re almost guaranteed to see turtles up close. Protected cove.” -Angela
  • “I also love Hookipa Beach. Great place to watch surfers young and old. Sometimes you can see the rare monk seal and turtles sunbathing. Great spot to BBQ too.”-Angela

  • “Baldwin Beach in Paia is a great North Shore spot that usually isn’t too crowded—plus, you can usually watch surfers from the shore”-Kenny
  • “The Beaches in Olowalu are gorgeous, and usually pretty quiet. Great spot to snorkel or take a dip after hiking the Pali Trail!”-Kenny
