Whale Watching in Maui

Its-Whale-Watching-Paradise-in-Maui

Now is the time to go whale watching in Maui; they’re all over the place.

When’s the best time to go whale watching in Maui? December is when they arrive, and by February they’re all over the place because that’s their mating season. Once March hits, they head back up toward Alaska to feed. So if you’re looking to see some breaching and tail slaps, now is the time to cruise the bay between Maui, Kaholooawe, and Lanai. The water is warm, the depth is shallow, and they love this paradise just as much as we do!

Whale watching is one of the coolest activities that people come to Maui for. Seeing these gentle giants in person is so exhilarating. Many companies offer chartered whale watches. Some people go kayaking or diving to get closer. But keep in mind, look don’t touch. As visitors it is important to respect the “Aina” (the land). There is a saying, Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints.

If you’d like to know more about the best times to go whale watching or which whale watching tours I recommend, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to speak with you.
