What fears did you have about buying Maui property?
For the most part, their fears related to the process of executing a sale from thousands of miles away. It’s hard to know the market, look at properties, and understand how complex things like lending would be.
What surprised you during the process?
In the end, they were surprised that the transaction went down so quickly and easily. They had been focused on a particular development that met their needs. They thought since they had time, they could wait and see. Within 15 minutes of reaching out to me, I called them back to announce that we just had a listing pop up. Jim and Christina raced over to view it, and then the process began.
One tip that I would give other buyers who are considering purchasing Maui real estate is to retain Tom Tezak as your Realtor.
What was it like to work with Tom and his team?
It all happened so smoothly; the team regularly updated them via email to keep them abreast of what to expect in terms of time frames, documents, and more. Whenever they had a question about a particular phrase or something, we always answered them promptly and professionally. What are your tips for people who are thinking of buying Maui real estate?

Beyond that, they say that it helps to come over here to get a feel of the area and experience as many different things as possible. One of the first things I did with the couple was take them on a driving tour to show them different communities. They had already narrowed down their options on their own, but the tour helped them fall in love.
